What do you mean when you describe the dominoes as "ivory-look"? Although the dominoes are not ivory, they have the creamy color and burnished appearance that gives them the look of ivory dominoes. (they also last longer and discolor far less than real ivory)
How do the dominoes feel in the hand? Hefty, substantial, smooth, with gently rounded corners. If you would like to see a sample domino before you buy, we'll send you one.
What are the dominoes made from? The material is known as Carbamide or Urea Stone. It is a high strength compound molded under 3000 pounds of pressure per square inch. The dominoes are solid, dense and as far we can tell, impossible to break.
What type of wood is used in the cases? It is American-grown Black Walnut. Besides being very beautiful, it is extraordinarily strong and will not break, crack or warp with normal use. The cases are made by American craftsmen to exacting specifications of fit, finish and color.
